11SIX24 Hurache-X Power 2 Review: A Pickleball Paddle With Controllable Power

Most power paddles are built to hit hard and not much else. 11SIX24 says its Hurache-X Power 2 takes a different approach: power when you swing for it, and a softer feel when you need to slow the game down. Here's a closer look at what the paddle offers and who it suits.

What Is the 11SIX24 Hurache-X Power 2?

11SIX24 is a pickleball brand that sells paddles, bags, apparel and grips directly to players. The Power 2 series is its line for aggressive hitters, and it comes in three shapes: Hurache-X, Vapor and Pegasus. This review focuses on the Hurache-X version.

Key Features

Gen 4 floating core

The Power 2 is built on 11SIX24's Gen 4 construction with a floating core design. According to the brand, it delivers pop when you load up on drives and third shots, then gives a softer, more predictable feel on dinks and resets. 11SIX24 describes it as a paddle that "gives you a range" instead of a single gear.

HexGrit surface technology

HexGrit is 11SIX24's patent-pending surface technology, developed in the brand's own lab. The goal is consistent spin over time, not just when the paddle is brand new.

Controllable power

11SIX24 is upfront that it didn't try to build the most powerful paddle on the market. The stated goal is the most usable one: enough power to attack, with enough control to place the ball where you want it.

Colors and Price

The Hurache-X Power 2 comes in Teal, Lavender and White, and it's listed at $209.99 at the time of writing. 11SIX24 also sells the Power 2 bundled with its Everyday Bag, plus demo/return paddles at a lower price for players on a budget.

Pros and Cons

Pros

• Gen 4 floating core built for both drives and soft game
• HexGrit surface designed for consistent spin over time
